Uttam vows to achieve all promises enshrined in APR Act

Hyderabad: TPCC Chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday vowed to fight on all the promises made to Telangana State in the AP Reorganization Act by the Union government. He also pledged to achieve Bayyaram steel factory, Kazipet coach factory to the state.

Speaking to mediapersons along with two party MPs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and A. Revanth Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan here today, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the three Congress MPs-elect in the State recently would work hard to achieve national project status to one of the State projects. Alleging that KCR had failed to achieve requisite amount of funds to the State, Uttam said they would fight on the issues and also would strengthen the party. He made it clear that the Congress party alone has capacity to defeat the TRS party in the State.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said the BJP had won four MP seats in the State by sheer luck in the recent elections. He said the people had voted for the BJP in order to defeat the ruling TRS party. He also made it clear that the people were secular in nature. Commenting on the leadership of the party president Rahul Gandhi, the TPCC president said they have complete faith in their leader. He appealed to Rahul Gandhi to withdraw the idea of resigning from his post.

Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy alleged that the TRS with 14 MPs had failed to fulfill the promises made to the State. He made it clear that they would fight for achievement of all the bifurcation promises. He also said the Congress would achieve good results in MLC, ZPTC and MPTC elections in the State. He said the people had blessed them despite the fact that the ruling party had bought their MLAs.

Malkajgiri MP-elect A. Revanth Reddy said the people ensured his victory in the Lok Sabha elections even though TRS leaders like Harish Rao and KTR got him defeated in his constituency Kodangal by hatching conspiracies. He said the people of Malkajgiri elected him as their representative to question the government on their behalf. He assured that he would work to the expectations of the people. Revanth said he would give a fitting reply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for resorting to communal politics.

He thanked Rahul Gandhi for giving him party ticket saying he should not change the party. He also alleged that the BJP had won four seats in the State due to the help of MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He said he would corner Asaduddin in Parliament. Former MP Konda Visweswar Reddy also spoke on the occasion.
