Hyderabad: Stating that the TRS will retain power by winning 100 Assembly seats, Caretaker Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy today ridiculed that TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy will not remove his beard as the Congress-led alliance will not come to power.
The Peoples Front of the Congress, TD, TJS and CPI will not get deposits in the forthcoming elections, he predicted. As a result, Uttam will not get a chance to remove his beard, he quipped. Despite all odds and problems created by the Congress, the TRS government accorded priority to complete the irrigation projects, he said, adding that Devarakonda segment will be turned into green by completing the Dindi project soon.
Addressing a public meeting at Nalgonda to support TRS candidate Ravindra Kumar, the Home Minister lashed out at the TDP chief for coming to seek votes besides forging an unholy alliance with the Congress. “With what face Naidu will return to Telangana for votes when he conspired against all projects and statehood?” Narsimha Reddy asked. He also accused the previous governments of miserably failing to complete irrigation projects, denied waters to the crops and drinking adding to the woes of fluoride problem and migration. He exuded confidence that the TRS will sweep the elections and retain power.
