Muzaffarnagar: A young boy has been arrested for raping a five-year-old girl, said police on Monday.
The police stated that the girl was taken by the youth when she was playing near her house and raped at an isolated area on Sunday.
Villagers heard minor screaming and crying and rushed to the spot and caught the accused person. They beat him and later handed him over to police, said the Circle Officer Yogender Kumar.
The minor girl was sent for medical examination, he added.
