Noida: Indian students have been invited to pursue higher education from universities in the United Kingdom, but with a proviso that if they have to make a difference to or in their lives, they need to do everything with passion and dedication to ensure success in the long run.
Taking part in a panel discussion at the recently held three-day 18th INBUSH ERA World Summit, Professor Nick Petford, Vice Chancellor, University of Northampton, said, “New age universities should develop a different style of learning and focus on digital advancements and promote creative thinking among students. They should prepare students to face professional challenges better.”
Professor Chris Hoehn-Saric, Chairman, Shorelight Education, US, stressed that in any country, higher education is the main driver of individual success and growth of the economy.”
Shorelight Education, he said, has the overall aim of providing quality education to the students across the world, and in this regard, informed the gathering that Shorelight has a strategic partnership with Amity University.
Professor Tim Blackman, Vice Chancellor, Middlesex University, said, “It is important for educational institutions to promote economic productivity, embrace diversity and promote the understanding of the diversities of various cultures.
Today’s world needs people with diverse thinking and that diversity needs to be accepted in order to bring together people from diverse backgrounds.”
He emphasized that exchange of skills and expertise through collaborations with institutions such as Amity is important for a better nurturing of students.
Professor Tony Drew, Dean of Business School, University of New Castle, Australia, stressed on the need for being cooperative, having an innovative mindset and a potential to embrace cross cultural sensitivity will help students in acquiring global mindset.
Prof. Andrew George, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Brunel University, London, said students must develop thinking, understanding and imagination.
The theme of the summit organised by the Amity International Business School was “Dream, Dare, Discover, Define & Deliver – Drivers for Global Success”.
Professor Gurinder Singh, Amity Group Vice Chancellor and Director General of AIBS, said Amity has more than 370 collaborations with universities and other institutions across the globe
Amity Global Academic Excellence Awards were conferred on several academic luminaries on the occasion.
Nine Memoranda of Understanding were also signed with the following institutions:
