A vegetable vendor Gajraj Singh from Bihar opened fire after a row with another a local vegetable vendor Dandu Tulasi Babu.
According to police sources, on a tip-off, a constable rushed to the market area where the scuffle between Gajraj Singh and Tulasi Babu was on. He prevented the accused from attacking the victim. Meanwhile, Gajraj shot one round in air creating panic in the area. The constable arrested him and shifted to the police station.
Gajraj Singh, 52, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, entered into a fight with one D. Tulasi Babu, 26. Gajraj pulled out his pistol and aimed at Tulasi Babu. Constable swooped and caught Gajraj which caused the fire to miss.
Chakrapani was given a cash reward of Rs 10,000 for saving vegetable vendor’s life.
