VH sore over Governor’s silence

Stating that Governor ESL Narasimhan remained calm even as the farmers were handcuffed and dharna chowk at Indira Park was lifted, Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao said the Governor ignored the movements launched by the Opposition parties in the State on behalf of the people.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, VH said the Governor went to Vijayawada to speak to AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to convince the latter to extend support to the BJP in Karnataka elections. Narasimhan was working as a mediator rather than as Governor. He made it clear that Siddaramaiah of Congress would retain his Chief Minister post despite political conspiracies. He called upon the people to attend the ‘Jana Akrosh’ to be held on April 29 in Delhi. (NSS)
