Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader V. Hanumanth Rao on Tuesday demanded that the Union government increase reservations of OBC on par with reservations to the economically weaker sections of upper castes of the country.
Addressing mediapersons here today, Hanumanth Rao accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of creating a gulf among different castes of the State. He also said that it was KCR, who organized meetings with different communities in the State. He demanded that the State government set up a Munnuru Kapu Corporation for the welfare of the Kapu community in the State. On the comments of Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy, VH said they would discuss on the issue internally.
