VHP to hold ‘Dharma Sabhas’ on Nov 25 to stage show of strength

NEW DELHI: Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) is preparing to stage a show of strength in Ayodhya as its international vice president Champat Rai on Wednesday announced that they will organise the ‘Dharma Sabhas’.

The ‘Dharma Sabhas’ will be held on November 25 in four cities is the biggest congregation of Ram Bhakts after the kar seva in 1992.

The three-hour long prayer meeting at the Sabha will be followed at almost 5,000 locations across the country.

100,000 people will be mobilize for the rally at Bada Bhaktmal ki Bagiya, VHP regional spokesperson Sharad Sharma said, reported The Indian Express.

“More than one lakh people will assemble in Ayodhya to attend ‘Dharam Sabha’. We want to send a clear message to the Centre that now Hindus want an ordinance or a law in Parliament for the construction of the Ram mandir in Ayodhya,” Rai said.

“Logon ko bhram na raha ho ki yeh vishaya khatam ho gaya hai…Logon ko vishwas diladein ki vishay is alive (People must be made to believe that the issue is still alive),” Rai added.

On Tuesday, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya quoted by The Indian Express as saying, “Mandir bhavya banayenge lekin tareek Rahul Gandhi batayenge… (We will build a grand temple but Rahul Gandhi will set the date”. He had also said that no building or memorial would be constructed in the name of Babar at the place where Ram was born.
