Face of the separate Telangana struggle and JAC Chairman, Kodandaram was arrested by the police at around 3 AM early in the morning as he prepares to go ahead with its rally in the city protesting against the delay in filling up vacancies in the Government and a few other demands.
Headed by East Zone DCP, Ravinder a team went to Mr. Kodandaram’s residence in Taraka and requested him to surrender. However, Mr Kodandaram and a few other JAC leaders questioned the timing of police’s visit to his house and asked them to come at 6 am when they can arrest him. But the police officials argued that they have the right to take anyone into preventive custody at anytime.
