Virat Kohli equals Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj record, can break Sachin Tendulkar another ODI record

India beat West Indies by 9 wickets in the fifth ODI at Thiruvananthapuram to clinch the five-match rubber by 3-1, and the India skipper made another record, he won his seventh ODI Man of the Series award.

He equals this record with the former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh, the list is topped by Sachin Tendulkar. He also stands level with the likes of Viv Richards, Ricky Ponting and Hashim Amla.

He was deservingly awarded Man of the Series as he continued making runs in the white-ball format, With a tremendous average of 151 he scored 453 runs in the series.

Sachin Tendulkar occupying the number one spot with 15 awards, Virat Kohli is now only behind of Sanath Jayasuriya and Shaun Pollock in the list who have eleven and nine awards to their name respectively.

He surpassed Sachin Tendulkar earlier in the series to become the fastest ODI batsman to breach the 10,000 run-mark.
