As Virat’s challenge gets accepted, Rahul and Tejashwi also challenge PM Modi

New Delhi: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi promptly accepted Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli’s fitness challenge on Twitter, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav also challenged PM Modi to get their challenges too accepted.

However, the opposition had their own set of challenges. Congress president Rahul Gandhi wrote: “Dear PM, Glad to see you accept the @imVkohli fitness challenge. Here’s one from me: Reduce Fuel prices or the Congress will do a nationwide agitation and force you to do so. I look forward to your response.#FuelChallenge.”

The Leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav of RJD also joined in and challenged the PM. “While we have nothing against accepting fitness challenge from @imVkohli . I urge you to accept the challenge to provide jobs to young, relief to farmers, promise of no violence against dalits & minorities. Would you accept my challenge @narendramodi Sir?” wrote Yadav

Meanwhile, Congress Communications in charge Randeep Surjewala threw an “economic fitness” challenge for the PM, urging him to reduce the excise duty on petrol to lessen the burden on common man.

Fitness challenge:

In a self-made video posted on Twitter, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Wednesday urged Indians to shoot a video of their “fitness mantra” and share it. He then did 10 push-ups and also praised Prime Minister Modi by calling him his source of inspiration for staying fit.

Rathore then challenged Virat Kohli, Hrithik Roshan, and Saina Nehwal to join in and take the #FitnessChallenge forward. Accepting Rathore’s challenge, Kohli took to the micro-blogging site and posted a video of him doing Butt Plank.

“I have accepted the #FitnessChallenge by Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore sir. Now I would like to challenge my wife @AnushkaSharma, our PM @narendramodi ji and @msdhoni bhai for the same. #HumFitTohIndiaFit #ComeOutAndPlay,” Virat tweeted.

Besides them, Rathore’s challenge was also accepted by Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, who also took to Twitter to share their fitness mantras.
