Virginia McLaurin a 106 – year- old woman dances with joy as she meets Barack Obama

Washington: Virginia McLaurin, a 106-year-old woman waited all her life to see an African-American President Obama, in the White House. She finally got a chance to meet the President.

McLaurin was born in South Carolina in 1909. She filed a White House petition in 2014 saying she would like to meet Obama and his family. She also made a request on YouTube by uploading a video in December, 2014.

McLaurin was at the White House to celebrate Black History Month on Sunday. “It’s an honor, it’s an honor,” she tells the President. She busted out some dance moves with the two.

“I didn’t think I’d ever live to see a colored president. I am so happy. I pray for you every day of my life.” She said in the video.

She said she was very happy to meet United States’ first black president and his “black” wife, all while holding Obama and Michelle’s hands.
