Visit divisions to address issues: KTR tells corporators

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today asked the TRS City Corporators to take an active role in the development of Hyderabad and GHMC areas.

At a review meeting with them here, KTR said that they have to make frequent visits to the divisions to address the local area problems. Persistent efforts needed to develop the city into a global destination with better amenities, best infrastructure as per Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s ideas, KTR said. ‘Our aim is to ensure that the people get all the facilities on time. The GHMC corporators in coordination with the officials should make persistent efforts for all-around city development, the minister said. Wide-ranging campaign and making it to the doorsteps of the people will help resolve their problems, KTR opined. ‘We are spending huge funds for several works, projects and schemes through the problems are yet to be solved including water clogging, bad roads, sanitation and cleansing of garbage’, the municipal minister said. The people are not seeking any miracles from us and instead provide them with the common facilities and addressing their grievances from time to time.

The city area is increased manifold in recent times with population and vehicles which is causing pollution, he said. The people in the twin cities are for the continuous supply of facilities like drinking water, power supply, sanitation, good roads, clean nalas and avoid water clogging on the roads during the rainy season, clean environments, security, law and order and development works. On hearing to the problems division wise, the minister asked the officials to address them. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has conducted a training program for coroporators for serving the people better, he said. (NSS)
