Visweswar Reddy refutes charge

Hyderabad: Congress leader Konda Visweswar Reddy on Monday refuted the allegations made by TRS party candidate from Nagar kurnool district Marri Janardhan Reddy that he tried to woo the leaders to extend their support to the Congress party if the need arose after the declaration of the results.

He warned the TRS party candidate that he would initiate legal action against him if he made the allegations again. Admitting that he had a telephonic conversation with the TRS leader, he claimed that it was Janardhan Reddy, who actually made the call to him.

Addressing media persons at Gandhi Bhavan hours after the press conference of Marri Janardhan Reddy, Konda said the conversation was general in nature and that he was enquiring about the current political situation in the State during his conversation with the TRS leader. “I told him that their minister was losing the elections. I also gave him the details of the probable winning seats of the Congress party,” he revealed. The Chevella MP wondered how could he lure a rich leader like Marri Janardhan Reddy.
