Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali handed over Wakf documents of Gutla Begumpet furnished by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan to CEO of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Asadullah so that the court cases could be strengthen
Important documents furnished by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan prove the ownership of Wakf Board and nullify the claims of the illegal occupants.
It may be mentioned that Supreme Court had rejected the ownership claims of the unauthorized occupants and had directed the Wakf Board to issue a new notification so that other claimants could also present their claims. Dy. CM instructed the CEO to take all essential steps and present these documents in the court of law. Wakf Board intends to issue notices to illegal possessors before issuing notification. Legal opinion is being sought from the experts.
Dy.CM also instructed the Wakf Board officials not to be lethargic in protecting Wakf properties. If need be the services of noted lawyers could be commission. He further said that Govt. will take necessary action to recruit more staff in order to improve the efficiency of Wakf Board. He mentioned that revenue generated from Wakf properties could be spent for the welfare of Muslims. Wakf Board got success in the Wakf property case pertaining to Gutla Begumpet. The illegal occupants might approach Wakf Tribunal for proving their ownership. Wakf Board will present these documents in Supreme Court to establish its ownership on this Wakf land.
