Hyderabad: Chairman Telangana Waqf Board Mohammed Saleem called on Chairman Gujarat Waqf Board Sajjad Hira and Chief Executive Officer IR Mansoori and discussed the protection of Waqf properties in Gujarat. He apprised Chairman Gujarat Waqf Board of the performance of Telangana Waqf Board. He informed that it has been decided to develop key properties to increase Waqf revenue. He further informed that this year the government has allocated a budget of Rs 2000 Cr for the welfare of minorities which is a record budget in any state.
Asserting that lakhs of minority candidates are benefitting from the schemes of the Telangana government Mohammed Saleem cited, Shaadi Mubarak, overseas scholarship scheme, Imams and Muezzins honorarium and recruitment of Urdu officers.
