Waqf Board sets up special teams to collect rents and waqf funds

Hyderabad: Telangana Waqf Board has set up 3 special teams for the collection of rents of Waqf properties and Waqf fund. Chairman Waqf Board Mohammed Saleem reviewed the collection of rents along with the officials. He expressed anger over lackadaisical approach in the collection of rents and Waqf funds and directed that all the arrears must be collected by the end of the current financial year. He directed Chief Executive Officer Mannan Farooqui to form special teams. 15 employees will be included in 3 teams of 5 each.

It is said that most of the Waqf institutions are not paying Waqf fund regularly in Hyderabad and Rangareddy and a large number of rents are pending.

Since he has assumed office Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem has focused his attention towards protection of Waqf properties and increase in Waqf Board’s remuneration.
