Hyderabad: Locals made representation with Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Waqf Board, in connection with the illegal construction on Waqf properties. Locals informed that construction is carried on the land of Mahboob Ali Shah graveyard and Aashoorkhana Imam Bada. After making representation with the Waqf Board Chairman the locals also reached Siasat office and briefed the matter.
They said even after repeated representations, Waqf Board has not taken any action in this regard nor complaint has been lodged with the police.
The locals said concerned Waqf inspector is scared to visit the area. They informed that construction work is undertaken by razing the graves on 2977 sqyd Waqf land attached to Mahboob Ali shah graveyard, the details of which are recorded in the Waqf gazette.
