Amidst Trump’s hostile regulations on cutting ties with Iran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday had cautioned Trump for his hostile policies against Tehran.
“America should know … war with Iran is the mother of all wars,” Rouhani was quoted as saying by the news agency IRNA, MEM reported.
The Iranian president was addressing a gathering of Iranian diplomats where he said: “Mr Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret.”
“America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars,” Rouhani added.
“You are not in a position to incite the Iranian nation against Iran’s security and interests,” Rouhani further said referring to reports of Trump’s plan to destabilize Iran’s Islamic government.
Iran is facing US’s pressure after Trump decided to withdraw from the 2015 international deal over Iran’s nuclear programme.
While the US officials told Reuters that Trump administration’s offensive speeches were only meant to pressure Iran to end its nuclear programme and its support of militant groups.
