Watch: Actress Lindsay Lohan says she’s studying Islam, wants to meet President Trump

NEW YORK: In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail Facebook Live chat Friday, actress Lindsay Lohan opened up on her interest in politics, Islam and wants to meet and convince the US President Donald Trump to change his stance on immigration policy for barring people/refugees from Muslim countries from entering the US.

The former child star explained:

“I want to try to get the word out to Donald Trump bring him over there [to the refugee camps in Turkey] have him see all the positive things they are doing over there and all America can do to help as well…

“[I want to meet him] to broaden his ideas of it because he hasn’t been there and show America in the right light, helping the refugees…

“It is one world that we live in and we have to work together… I think it would be a positive thing for America to show their care and support… And for him to experience what it’s like for these people.”

The Mean Girls actress continued: ‘He is the president – we have to join him,’ she insisted. ‘If u cant beat him, join him.’

The 30-year-old has returned to New York and opened up about the recent speculation that she would be converting to Islam.

She revealed she had not yet converted, but had not ruled it out. ‘I’ve studied the Quran for quite some time,’ she said.

‘It’s a process to convert to anything. I respect all religions… it’s a beautiful religion and i am a very spiritual person… it’s something I’ve been studying,’ she added. ‘You cant just convert overnight to a religion.

‘I really admired that, and found solace in it,’ she said.

She has been spending time in Greece and Turkey, admitted that she was in doubt about returning. “I was scared to come here with everything going on because of my personal beliefs,” she said.
