Hyderabad: A eight year old girl going to school died on the spot and her father was injured when a rashly driven water tanker hit their two-wheeler at Abids here this morning.
The mishap occurred when the girl identified as Dia Jain, a class three student of Rosary Convent High School, was on way to school with her father. She was riding pillion and as their scooter was reaching the school, a private water tanker which was behind them rammed into the vehicle. Both of them fell on the road. While Dia died on the spot, her father Naresh Kumar Jain was injured. He was shifted to a private hospital.
Policed registered a case and are investigating.
