WB: Another TMC MLA quits party to join BJP

New Delhi: The TMC party seems to be struggling with the aftermath of Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal as one of the MLA seems keen to have decided on quitting the party and instead join BJP.

TMC MLA Wilson Champramary from Alipurduar’s Kalchini constituency speaking to media has told that he and other 18 councillors of the party have decided to quit the party and now preparing to join the BJP.

“Many more will join BJP and are in contact with party high command,” Champramary said, India today reports.

Several TMC leaders have already quit the party to join BJP though so far the exact number of leaders quitting the party to join the saffron party is unclear the number seems to be increasing daily.

The saffron party has already won 18 seats in recent Lok Sabha election in West Bengal, reducing TMC to 22 seats.

The election results did come as a shock to Trinamool Congress and West Bengal CM and while party chief Mamata Banerjee even offered to quit as chief minister but the party rejected her offer.
