Why forging alliances if you are strong? Laxman questions Uttam

Hyderabad: BJP State president Dr K Laxman condemned the allegations leveled by the TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy against Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

He lashed out at Uttam for stating that Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao were same. He said the TRS, Congress and the MIM were not different and all belongs to birds of one nest.

Speaking to the media after a program in which several leaders of other political parties joined BJP at its head office here on Tuesday, Laxman made it clear that BJP was only an alternative party to the TRS.

He ridiculed Uttam saying that the latter’s words were useless. “Is it correct to Uttam to compare Modi with KCR?”, he asked and alleged that Uttam was levellng baseless allegations against the BJP as he failed to face KCR. He said Modi was working 18 hours a day whereas KCR was confining to his farm house for 18 hours. Nobody knows where AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi will be in 18 hours, he wondered and said it was not proper to Uttam to compare them with Modi.

Asking Uttam not to forget the fact that the Congress, TRS and MIM parties contested elections in alliance in the past, Laxman said the Congress was the party that encouraged the MIM party.

He said the Telangana people were wishing change and asked the Congress as to why it was entering into alliance if it was strong in the State. He also claimed that the TRS and Congress parties were trying to become close with MIM and alleged that casting vote to both TRS and Congress parties was nothing but casting vote to MIM party.

He demanded that the MIM party field its candidates in 119 constituencies across the State. He explained that the BJP-led Central government was implementing innovative programs for the development of the Minorities. The NDA government had brought Triple Talaq Bill only to protect self-respect of the Muslim women, he added.
