Will resist Trump’s nuclear order: US Air Force general John Hyten

United States Air Force general, John E. Hyten says he would resist an illegal nuclear strike order issued by Donald Trump. We need to consider on several aspects before any strike. Gen Hyten said, as commander of the US Strategic Command, he gives advices to the president. He hoped that its legal alternative would be sought.

The general’s comments follow a hearing in which senators pressed military officials to explain safeguards against hasty nuclear strikes, while Democrats cited fears that Mr. Trump’s haphazard decision-making could have devastating consequences. This was the first meeting in 40 years span.

In August Trump had warned that if North Korea expands its nuclear programme and threatens America then he will show such a rage that the world would have never seen before.

Last month, Republican Senator Bob Corker had said that Trump is setting US ‘on the path to World War III.’

Tamping down fears about a reckless foray into nuclear war Gen Hyten said “If it’s illegal, I‘m going to say, ‘Mr President, that’s illegal. And we’ll come up (with) options.”
