Will unfurl Pink flag at Singareni: Kavitha

TRS MP Kavitha today exuded confidence that TRS Pink flag will be unfurled at Singareni Collieries after the workers’ unions elections. She appealed to the Singareni workers to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for their welfare.

Speaking at a meeting at Telangana Bhavan, Kavitha exhorted the gathering to support GBGKS for winning the elections. The TRS leader took a dig at the Opposition parties for joining hands to support the AITUC of CPI in the Singareni elections. She recalled that the Singareni Collieries Workers Union participated actively in the statehood movement.

Despite the Opposition parties joining hands, the TRS will win in the Singareni elections, she hoped and said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao increased salaries of the workers in the collieries. She said KCR was aware of the problems and difficulties of the working class and has been making efforts to protect their rights. The Opposition parties have come together and formed an unholy alliance against the workers’ welfare, she fumed.

The Nizamabad MP also criticized that some political parties were moving the courts against dependent jobs and working against their development. AITUC of the CPI was strongly opposing the dependent jobs and the workers should not forget it. The State government was committed to the welfare of the workers and they should strengthen the hands of the Chief Minister, she said. (NSS)
