Woman inspired by ‘Yevadu’ movie, killed her husband and disfigured her lover’s face

Hyderabad: A telugu hit movie ‘Yevadu’ starred by Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, had inspired a woman from Nagarkurnool district of Telangana to kill her husband and replace him with her lover by disfiguring his face.

Going into the details, the woman, Swathi was married to Sudhakar Reddy and they had two children. In the recent past, Swathi met Rajesh and their friendship turned into illicit relationship. They decided to eliminate Sudhakar Reddy so that they could stay together.

On November 26, 2017, Swathi and Rajesh attacked Sudhakar Reddy on November 26, 2017 with a blunt weapon on the head while he was sleeping. Later they shifted the body to Maisamma reserve forest area of Fatehpur mandal and burnt it down.

Now Swathi started her main plot and disfigured Rajesh’s face two days later by pouring acid on him and claimed before the family members that it was Sudhakar Reddy who had suffered burns in an attack by unknown persons when he was in Hyderabad. She got Rajesh admitted in a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Sudhakar Reddy’s family had spent Rs 5 lakh on treatment. During the treatment, Sudhakar Reddy’s mother grew suspicious about the changes she noticed in her ‘son’ (not sudhakar) and informed the police.

The Police interrogated Swathi and she revealed the entire plot. Police arrested Swathi and recovered her husband’s remains from the reserve forest area. The other accused Rajesh is still undergoing treatment.
