Muzaffarnagar: A 23-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two men here last month, police said on Monday. The accused had also recorded a video of that incident and uploaded it on the social media.
The police stated that a case in this connection was lodged only on Sunday, following which the accused were arrested.
The Circle Officer Harish Bhadoria said that the victim’s brother lodged the complaint in which he stated that two men Akib and Sajid kidnapped his sister, intoxicated her and then took turns to rape her last month.
A medical examination of the victim had proved rape. However, the victim had not revealed her ordeal to anyone as the accused had threatened her with frightful consequences.
The victim’s family members got to know about it only after the video went viral on the social media.
