Woman raped by two on pretext of job

Mathura: A woman was allegedly raped by two persons on the pretext of getting her a job in a factory here, police said today.

The woman was last night allegedly raped by Shyam Sundar Kardam and Gopi Chand in a hotel in Dhauli Piau on the pretext of giving her a job in a factory, DySP Peeyush Kumar said.

The victim, aged about 35 years, is a resident of Faridabad in Haryana and runs a beauty parlour there, he said.

On the complaint of the woman, a case was registered under section 376 (rape) of IPC at Kotwali police station, Kumar said, adding the accused were arrested today.

Kardam, a former BSP local leader, had contested 2014 Lok Sabha election as an Independent candidate.

However, Sangh Ratan Sethi, former district president of BSP, has denied association of Kardam with the party.
