Swapna (25), a 25-year-old woman software engineer in Hyderabad attempted suicide by jumping from the Victoria Memorial Metro Rail station in Chaitanyapuri because she was upset with her family disputes. The woman received multiple injuries and is admitted to a private hospital.
She was married to Raghavendra, a techie and the couple is blessed with a two-year-old son. She is a resident of NTR Nagar in Dilsukhnagar under LB Nagar police station limits. Her parents and in-laws, all live in Dilsukhnagar area.
At about 11.30 pm, she went to the Victoria Memorial Metro Rail station. She climbed the stairs of ‘Arm C’ section to enter the concourse level and jumped on to the ground.
According to the report published in DC, the locals noticed this and alerted the security staff and then Chaitanyapuri police.
She was taken to Sri Omni Hospital in an ambulance and was later shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment. Her health condition is stated to be out of danger.
