Woody Harrelson in talks to join Tom Hardy’s ‘Venom’

Los Angeles: ‘Venom’ movie has already racked up a really impressive cast and it is all set to get bigger and better.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Woody Harrelson may become the latest victim to get entangled in Venom’s web, as the actor is in talks for an undisclosed role in ‘Venom’, the Tom Hardy-led Spider-Man offshoot from Sony.

Although character details are sparse, sources say Harrelson will play a henchman of sorts. Sony had no comment on the casting.

Hardy is starring as the popular Marvel Comics antihero with Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate also on board for the movie.

If a deal is made, it would mark a reunion for Harrelson with helmer Ruben Fleischer, who directed the actor in the hit 2009 zombie comedy ‘Zombieland’.

Helmed by Ruben Fleischer, Scott Rosenberg (‘Jumanji’) and Jeff Pinkner (‘The Dark Tower’) will write the script for ‘Venom’.

‘Venom’ is slated to hit theatres on October 5, 2018. (ANI)
