Work for TS free of hunger, suicides: Rajender

Finance Minister E Rajender today said that the government is making efforts to remove the problems pertaining to hunger and suicides in the state. He paid rich tributes to P Kishtaian a martyr of Telangana at Gun Park’s Martyrs memorial near Assembly here. On the occasion the minister said that the TRS Government is working with inspiration of martyrs. The government has been implementing several schemes for the cause of the poor and destitute by providing shelter, food and facilities. The people should support the government for welfare of all sections in the society. The TRS Government has extended help to the martyrs families he said.

Despite rapid growth, development use of technology the problems of hunger and suicides still remain he expressed concern. However the young Telangana government is doing its best to cater to the needs of common man and the poorest of the poor. Rajender claimed that Telangana is in forefront to implement welfare schemes and spending about Rs 40000 cr like no other state in the country. He also cited schemes of welfare including Rs 1 a kg rice to the poor through ration shops serve the purpose, Rs 75,116 towards marriage of poor girls through Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, pensions, improved education, health facilities, roads, power supply and others.
