The Chief guest Catherine Hadda, US Consulate Consul General,  observed that of the many issues that the US Government cares about globally, human trafficking is one their top priorities. In many cases, it is difficult for a state to know about the living conditions of their residents after they migrated elsewhere. And like wise, many destination states tend to treat migrant workers as visitors who are not their immediate responsibility. But, in this instance, both the source state and  destination state have proactively made it their shared responsibility to engage with NGOs and employers to address the schooling needs of the children of migrant brick kilns workers. She congratulated the Collectors of Ranga Reddy and Yadadri districts and Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda for giving adequate importance to the education of these children. (NSS)
