UP: A 25-year-old youth made an attempt to marry an actress at gunpoint. This incident took place in Robertsganj, Uttar Pradesh.
According to the report published in Times of India, the accused is identified as Pankaj Yadav. He has been stalking the Bhojpuri actress, Ritu Singh.
On Saturday, the accused had entered into Ritu Singh’s hotel room and tried to intimidate her to marry him. When the actress started screaming, a youth, Ashok came to rescue her. However, Yadav opened fire when he saw Ashok. In the firing, a bullet hit Ashok’s waist.
Later, Sonbhadra SP, Mr. Salmantaj Jafertaj Patil rushed to the hotel. He tried to convince Yadav to surrender.
However, instead of surrendering, Yadav opened fire at SP. Soon, other policemen who were present at the spot overpowered the accused and arrested him.
Luckily, SP did not receive any injuries.
