Youtube’s Dark Mode: Here’s how to enable it on iOS and Android

The leading online video streaming platform has been making minor changes to its platform since the redesign. YouTube has introduced a highly-demanded feature to its Android app, The Dark Mode, it will invert the colours of the UI, and you will have a black background. It is pretty easy on the eyes, and it also prevents them from burning. Besides, it improves battery life on your device as well.

The Google-owned company recently rolled out the Dark Mode for the web version of YouTube, and now it has released dark mode for both iOS and Android, here’s how to enable it.

For iOS

You need to have the latest version of youtube in order to run this mode. once you update your application, open it on your device.

Step 1. Tap on your profile icon which is on the top right corner of your screen.

Step 2. Then tap on Settings.

Step 3. Tap on the toggle for “Dark theme” to enable it

Step 4. Tap on “X” at the top-left corner to exit settings and you are done.

For Android

First, make sure you have the latest version of youtube installed on your android device

Step 1. Tap on your profile icon which is on the top right corner of your screen.

Step 2: Tap on settings, general

Step 3: Tap on the toggle for “Dark theme” to enable it

Step 4: Tap on the back button, and a dark mode is enabled.
