YSRCP campaign song “Ravali Jagan, Kavali Jagan” crosses 10 million views on YouTube within 3 weeks, claims party

Amaravati: YSR Congress Party’s campaign song “Ravali Jagan, Kavali Jagan” has crossed 10 million views on YouTube and is now the most watched political campaign song on the social media site, the party claimed on Sunday.

“The political song has gone viral across the state of Andhra Pradesh, and beyond. It has become the most watched political campaign song on YouTube, within 3 weeks of it being posted on YouTube,” YSRCP said in a statement.

“Ravali Jagan, Kavali Jagan” (We want Jagan, Jagan should come) is a campaign slogan coined by the Indian-Political Action Committee in 2018. Under the banner, the YSRCP workers had previously run a month-long outreach programme to highlight Jagan Mohan Reddy’s poll promises.

“The song captures the mood of the people of Andhra Pradesh who are fed up by the false promises of the current dispensation. They have no trust in Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu and his government, and have made up their mind to bring Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP in power in the upcoming election,” the statement released by the party claimed.

During the launch of the song, YSRCP had said that it intends to ensure that the song reaches the people across the state at the grass-root level.

Elections to the 173-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly is scheduled to be conducted on April 11 simultaneously with Lok Sabha polls. The counting of votes will be done on May 23.
