No more containment zone in Telangana: Health Dept

Hyderabad: How long it will take for the country to fully get rid of coronavirus, no one can say anything in this regard.  However, the Government of Telangana claimed that it is in a position to do away with the containment zones.  As per the Health officials, due to a significant decrease in the number of cases, there is not a single containment zone in the state.

During last one week, the number of recorded cases in a week is between 200 and 400.  The number of coronavirus cases depends on the number of tests being carried out.  If the tests are between 40 to 50 thousands, the number of detected cases is found to be more.

The Health officials claim that due to decrease in coronavirus cases in Telangana, they have decided to do away with the containment zones.  They said, “It is observed, in the cases which recorded during the last one month, either there is no symptom of the disease or they were of a very minor nature and hence they decided to keep the patient in home isolation.”

“In view of asymptomatic patient and decrease in the virus spread, there is no need to declare the whole areas as a containment zone.  Therefore, the Health Department has decided to end all the containment zones which were mostly in Greater Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Malkajgiri,” the officials said.

The officials said that the State government has taken effective preventive measures and created awareness among the people which helped the government to control the spread of the Virus.
