Noted robber Chokha put in prison under PD Act

Hyderabad: Anjani Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, on April 4 issued P.D. orders against Chokha, a robber of Bhavaninagar Police Station.

Chokha, 28, an Auto driver and native of Thane Gajaraula, Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh and temporarily residing at Mohan Lodge, Kachiguda, committed robberies under Bhavaninagar Police Station along with his associates in an organized manner in the limits of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate to make easy money and lead a lavish life.

The accused committed 11 offences in the recent past under the limits of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate and has been creating fear among the public, thereby adversely affecting the public order, apart from disturbing the peace, tranquility and social harmony in the society. The Bhavaninagar police arrested the accused Chokha and his associates on January 9, 2019 in Cr.No.3/2019 U/s 411 IPC and Sec 25(1-A) of Indian Arms Act – 1959, robbed gold chains were recovered and he was remanded to judicial custody. The Preventive Detention Order was executed on him on April 5 and was lodged in Central Prison, Chanchalguda.
