Notorious inter-state burglary gang arrested

Hyderabad: Cops arrested a gang of notorious inter-state burglars involved in many cases at NGO’s Colony in Vanasthalipuram on Friday.

Addressing a press conference, Mahesh M. Bhagwat, Rachakonda police commissioner said, “All three accused were arrested when they were moving in suspicious circumstances along with a bag containing housebreaking tool kit at NGO’s Colony in Vanasthalipuram.”

Cops also seized 680 grams of gold jewelry, 9 ½ of silver articles, and net cash around Rs. 10,500, one Yamaha FZ bike and two mobile phones including housebreaking tools from their possession. The total value of recovered articles is Rs.28, 12,900 lakh.

They accused were identified as Bula Nagasai (28), Manchem Srinivas (28) yrs were the residents of Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Kancha Naresh (29) resides in Chandryangutta, Hyderabad.

While interrogation they disclosed that they had a criminal record in property offenses in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

“If they set their eyes on a target, there is a 90% chance that they steal it successfully,” Mr. Surender Reddy, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police said.

“The accused Bula Nagasai began his burglaries in 2007 he was arrested by Gajuwaka police earlier at the age of 17 years for committing theft of home theatre items and he lodged to Juvenile Home, soon after releasing from home, he worked in HP gas Company Chingicherla, Hyderabad for about 3 months and left the job and returned Gajuwaka. He started committing property offenses along with his villager. So far, he is involved in about 90 cases, in which 15 cases were ended in a conviction,” cops said that they mostly target locked houses commit their offenses during the night.

The accused Manchem Srinivas involved in twenty house burglary theft cases of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In the month of April 2019, he released from Peddapuram Sub-Jail, he committed theft of Yamaha FZ vehicle from Rajamundry II Town police station limits, the same vehicle was used in the commission of offenses and used to pick up and drop the offender Bula Nagasai.

Mr. Surender Reddy, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police explains that the gang also maintains the calendar of the marriages dates in the year for committing offenses and targeting the locked houses. With the intention to rob the houses the gang members use to move in around the colonies on a motorcycle during the night hours, in search of locked houses where they intended to commit theft. Mr. Reddy says by using Iron rod and screwdriver they use to break the latch of the door and commit theft and one member of their gang use to keep an eye on surroundings. And they fled with the stolen booty.
