Hyderabad: Rapid Action Force personnel were deployed near Charminar on the occasion of 27th Babri Masjid demolition Anniversary in Hyderabad on Friday. Shikha Goel, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes along with senior police officers went around Makkah Masjid and Charminar areas. It was a demonstration of the fact that the Police were ready to tackle any situation in the city. In the meantime, the City Police imposed section 144 in most parts of Hyderabad which means that grouping of more than four persons would not be allowed to gather.
The markets around Charminar wore a deserted look as most people pull down their shutters to mourn the demolition of Babri Masjid 27 years ago.
