Once a Community Hall, now a massive dumping yard

HYDERABAD: It is hard to miss if commuters passing the Sri Ramnagar colony at the posh Masab Tank and not welcomed by the enormous mound of stinking garbage.  

The waste is simply tossed onto open ground which was once a community hall few years but has now been now turned into a dump yard.

The mixed garbage in the open ground is a result of years of inaction.

Residents Suffer

It stinks during rainy season and the smoke billowing out of the burnt garbage is only posing serious health hazards to the residents.

Not only the garbage, buffaloes were also tied and also illegal activities were taking place at nights.

The worshippers visiting the masjid located in the area also face inconvenience.

The residents alleged that GHMC officials are not serious in finding a permanent solution to the problem.

Also motorists driving down the road nearby get affected.

Fines Should Be Imposed

Aggressive campaign should be launched to change behaviours.

Impose heavy penalties and fines for littering.
