Washington: A Pakistani origin lady was appointed District Judge of Texas State. She took the oath of office on Thursday. She had worked for the welfare of women for more than a decade. Rabeea defeated her opponent Michael Landrum. She polled 645784 whereas her opponent got 530516 votes. Earlier, her opponent, a Democratic candidate, Christian Hawkins had superseded her.
She is a brilliant candidate who got the degree of Doctor of Laws from the Southern University of Texas. She was working as a lawyer for the past 12 years. She has many honours to her credit.
