Hyderabad: Pictorial exhibition pertaining to Princess Durru Shehvar, daughter in-law of the late Nizam of Hyderabad was organized at Nizam’s Museum, Purani Haveli. It was inaugurated by Dr. Zarina Parveen, Director of Telangana State Archives.
In her address, she told that Princess Durru Shehvar was historic personality. She was the daughter of the last Caliph of Turkey. She also said that Princess Durru Shehvar established a girls junior college at Purani Haveli. A hospital named after her is functioning in front of Purani Haveli.
Mr. Khaja Ghyasuddin, Secretary, Mukaram Jah Education and Learning, Mr. Bakhtiyar Ahmed Ansari, Mr. Sajjad Shahid and Ms. Rifath Husain were present in the function.
Mr. Ahmed Ali, Curator of the museum gave the details of the exhibition. Mr. Shaukat Husain, Administrative Officer of the Museum welcomed the guests.
The exhibition contains nearly 50 photographs of Princess Durru Shehvar. It will be set open for public till 6 October.
