UP police file FIR against ‘dead’ for breaching peace

Lucknow: December 20, marked a deadly day in Uttar Pradesh, when several were killed by the UP Police for ‘allegedly’ protesting against the Citizenship Ammendment Act (CAA).

Following clashes, the Yogi Government issued orders to file FIR against protestors. UP Government has also started the process of seizing properties to compensate the losses occured during protests. While 18 have been killed, more than 5,000 have been booked.

Ghastly, the UP police has filed FIR against those who passed away several years ago, ABP reported.

Banne Khan who passed away six years ago was issued notice by Firozabad Police to appear before the City Magistrate. According to the notice, Khan has to fill Rs 10 lakh to seek bail.

90-yr-old serviced Jama Masjid for 58 yrs

Apart from Banne Khan, 90-year-old Shufi Ansar Hussain’s name is also included in the list. Shufi Ansar has been engaged in the service of Jama Masjid for the last nearly 58 years. 

Apart from this, the name of 93-year-old Fasahat Mir Khan is also present in the list. Fasahat Khan is a well-known social worker. 
After getting the notice to Fasahat Khan, his son said, “My father had the privilege of meeting President APJ Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan”
