The program was held by Prajaswamika Telangana of G. Venkatswami Foundation. Telangana Jana Samithi president Prof. Kodandaram, TPCC leaders Addanki Dayakar spokesperson, Indira Sobhan, former MP Konda Visweswar Reddy, BJP leaders DK Aruna,  Ch Ramachandra Reddy, TD leaders L Ramana,  R Chandrashekhar Reddy, Prof. Vishwesheer Rao and the leaders of other parties took part in the program.

Earlier, they raised slogans against the TRS Government and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for “wrong” decision to build new Secretariat and Assembly. “We will intensify protests and not allow the KCR government to implement its plan against people,” they said. They also appealed to people to wage a fight like statehood against the dictatorial rule of KCR. The government can spend Rs 500 crore earmarked for Secretariat and Assembly, for providing two-bedroom houses for poor instead,  they said.
G Venkata Swamy trust chairman and former MP G Vivek criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for taking ‘tuglaq’ like the decision to waste public money to build a new Secretariat by demolishing existing structures which are good in condition. He decided the government to withdraw its meaningless decision to waste public money.

Speaking on the occasion, Konda Visweswar Reddy said that the public money should be used for the welfare of the people of the state. He wondered as to who asked the State government to build a new secretariat. He alleged that CM KCR was taking such decisions to remove the history of the old buildings while noting that the Chinese emperor, who built the great china wall, killed its makers and buried them under the same wall.
He urged the TRS party leaders to hold agitation programs demanding the state government to withdraw its decision of the new secretariat.  He said that the people of the state would teach a befitting lesson to the state government in the days to come. The police took them into custody when they started marching towards Secretariat amid tension. The leaders got into an argument with police for their overaction.
