Prayers in absentia For CAA/NRC deceased victims

Hyderabad: A group of Muslims headed by  Muslim cleric Moulana Mohammed Naseeruddin, President Telangana Chapter of Wahdat-e-Islami Hind on Thursday offered Namaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayers in absentia) for people who died in different places across India  protesting against CAA/NRC.


Moulana Naseeruddin gave a call for offering funeral prayers in Absentia upon which a group of more than five hundred persons gathered at Eid-Gah Ujale Shah grounds in Saidabad and offered prayers .


Apart from offering prayers for those who died during the protests the group, two minutes silence was also  observed by Muslims  for non Muslims fellow citizens who died in the same protest. In wake of the programme the  local police have made made necessary bandobust.


“It’s the duty of every Muslim to pray for those who died opposing the CAA and NRC laws, large number of turnout for prayers is a sign of unity among the community” said Moulana Naseeruddin.
