Professionals from tech giants urge businessmen to oppose CAA

New Delhi: Professionals working in tech giants such as Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc., urged businessmen like Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, Mukesh Ambani and others to oppose the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Divisive and fascist scheme

They termed CAA and NRC ‘divisive and fascist scheme’.

It may be mentioned that ever since the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament, protests are taking place across the country.

Not only students but also many celebrities took part in the protest against the act. They termed it ‘unconstitutional’.

CAA grants citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, Buddhists, and Christians from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh who have entered India on or before December 31, 2014.
