Protests erupt in city over Radha embracing Chandrababu

Vijayawada: Widespread protests rocked Vijayawada on Thursday opposing Vangaveeti Radha Krishna joining the ruling Telugu Desam Party. Followers and family members of late Vangaveeti Ranga took to protests at the Ranga statue at Raghavaiah park.

Vangaveeti Narendra, son of Vangaveeti Narayana Rao, brother of the late leader, protested against the decision of Vangaveeti Radha leaving YSR Congress Party and joining the TDP. Police intervened and made him to end the protest.

Addressing the media later, Narendra said Radha embracing the party that was responsible for his father’s death was unbelievable and his joining hands with the TDP, which got Ranga murdered was unimaginable. He said members of Radha-Ranga Mitra Mandali all over the State are dumb-struck with the news Radha repeating the same mistake done by his mother. Narendra pointed out that Radha kept his father’s aspirations aside and joined the TDP.
