Ramadan begins in Hyderabad on Saturday

Hyderabad: The Islamic holy month of Ramadan will begin in Hyderabad from tomorrow. Ruyat Hilal Committee, Hyderabad has confirmed the sighting of the moon for Ramadan.

Based on the sighting of the moon, it has announced that the fasting month of Ramadan will start on Saturday. It is the fasting month for Muslims.

Ramadan around the world begins with unprecedented bans on family gatherings and mass prayers. Unfortunately, Muslims cannot pray daily prayers as well as Taraweeh at mosques because of coronavirus restrictions.

Fasting Muslims refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk during Ramadan and gather with family to break the fast in the evening. But due to the coronavirus, almost all Muslim-majority countries have closed mosques and asked people to pray at home in addition to imposing curfews to limit the spread of the deadly virus.
