Bengaluru: Crime against women in Metro cities is highly alarming with disgusting atrocities against women being reported.
In a shocking incident reported from Bengaluru, a bus driver from a reputed school has been arrested after he filmed and posted pictures of a woman taking shower on the internet when the victim refused to ‘cooperate’ with him, BM reports.
According to reports, the bus driver identified as Kishore, 35, would come to pick the victim’s kids for school. However, one day while he was waiting for the children, he happened to see the victim taking a bath and immediately started recording her without her knowledge.
The accused then started harassing and blackmailing her with the video footage in his possession.
The accused is a resident of Tumakuru Road while the victim resides in Hegganahalli.
The RG Nagar Police said the accused was working as the driver for a private school located on Andhrahalli Main Road.
“The accused is alleged to have filmed the victim a year ago while she was having a bath. Since then, he has been harassing her and threatening her to cooperate with him, or else he would upload her nude pictures and the footage on all social networking sites. Allegedly, he appeared at her house drunk, and tried to pull her out of the house,” said the officer investigating the case.
It was the victim’s husband and the house owner who rushed to the victim’s help when the accused tried dragging her outside with him.
“The victim claims to have been afraid to complain to the police about the driver since her children were students in the same school where he was employed, and she feared he would harm them. She even feared discussing the issue with her husband suspecting that it might take a violent turn and affect her children,” the officer added.
The shameful incident came to light after the accused uploaded her nude pictures and other footage on internet with the victim’s name on the profile and also sent it to a few of his contacts.
It was after the victim learned about the situation she rushed to seek Police’s help.
She filed a complaint against the accused with the link of the profile which had her nude pictures and the video.
The accused has been arrested and booked for stalking (IPC 354D), disrobing (IPC 354B), threat to cause death or grievous hurt (IPC 506B) and few sections of the IT Act.
