Restrictions imposed for Muharram in Srinagar

Srinagar: Restrictions were imposed in most parts of valley to prevent Muharram processions to mark the 10th Muharram. Security forces were deployed at all the connecting areas which lead to Imambara Zadibal in Srinagar.

Barricades and barbed wire were erected at all the entry and exit points of the Zadibal area where Ashura’s biggest procession used to take place. People were prevented from taking part in any large gathering.
